Explore the beautiful nature of the Sauerland on our e-bikes. From now on you can rent the e-bikes for your adventure through the forests of Altena by prior arrangement.
Our e-bikes (Stevens) are high quality and will carry you for miles.
Of course, you will also receive the appropriate protective clothing so that you can safely complete your tour around the Grossendrescheid.

Hike
Relax on a hike through the Sauerland. Around our Gasthof Spelsberg on the Grossendrescheid you will find many beautiful tours through the forests of the Sauerland. Here you can roam through nature and let the fresh wind blow in your face. After a short tour around the Dicken Hagen, stop for a delicious piece of cake or fortify yourself after a day’s hike in our new log cabin at the barbecue buffet.

Castle elevator Altena
Altena Castle is known beyond the city limits: the world’s first youth hostel was set up here by Richard Schirrmann in 1914. Today it is a museum, but you can still stay overnight at the castle in the youth hostel in the lower courtyard. Explore the castle with all its attractions, such as the castle elevator, which opened in April 2014. Here you will be offered a multimedia adventure.
